SPORT DRINK OR ENERGY DRINK?
Sport drinks are often confused with energy drinks. Both are similar, but not the same. Sport drinks are designed to assist the process of rehydration, replace electrolytes, minerals and other nutrients are lost during the move, especially exercise. While energy drinks usually contain caffeine and other herbal substances that aims to increase endurance, such as ginseng.Energy and minerals that are burned while exercising can be restored quickly by drinking sports drinks, but that's not the only option available. Sports drinks are generally composed of water, glucose (sugar), and vitamin or mineral supplement. Actually, Similar vitamins and minerals can also be found in white water and fruit. The difference is, sports drinks and packaged mass produced practically with the standard dose.There are three kinds of sports drink that is:1. Isotonicliquids that contain similar concentrations of sugar and salt in human body2. HypertonicConcentrates containing high sugar and more salt and fluids in the human body naturally3. HypotonicSugar and salt content of the concentrate is lower than the natural fluids in the human body.
Of the three existing types of sports drinks, isotonic drinks most often encountered. Isotonic beverages is required if a person is dehydrated or hydrated. For example after exercise, spend a lot of fluid due to illness (diarrhea, vomiting, etc.) or excessive sweating because of hot weather.When sweating, our bodies are not just out of water, but also the content of electrolytes in it, so we need fluid replacement ions are missing.
